Since 2013, Auke is working as a freelance UX researcher and is the owner of Usably. Before starting as a freelancer, he worked for 3 years at Traffic4u as CRO consultant and for 1 year at Bizztravel as UX researcher/CRO Consultant. Auke studied Marketing Management at the University of Groningen and won the business thesis prize of the academic year 2006-2007.

With his company Usably, Auke helps his clients to do UX research without breaking the bank. He is known for the $100 usability lab, a Medium post where he explains how to turn a laptop into a professional usability lab.
